Thanks! I was trying to find some compromise between the giant triangular sight and a rail-mounted flipup sight, and that was the best I could find. It's not ideal, but it looks a heck of a lot better than the generic M4 sights (in my opinion, anyway).
If anyone has any suggestions for a better folding gas block sight, I'm definitely open to ideas!

I'm not a big Magpul fan, but that gun looks pretty sick, SteevoLS. It's neat to see some new combinations on an M4.

I'm not really a MagPul fanboy either, but the price was right on the MagPul parts.

If it were mine I would have put a different CCO on it, but that's a matter of taste in airsoft 99% of the time. If you wanted to do something different with the front sight, a railed gas block with a set of Magpul MBUS' would fit the look you've already got going. Just my opinion, you've got a great looking setup no matter where you go from here.

A lot of people dislike the T1, but as you said it's mostly a matter of taste. I like it a lot because it allows me to maintain a high/casual cheek weld and still shoot accurately. Given how small it is, you can easily focus past it and hardly see the body of the optic with both eyes open. The dot is still easily visible. It's small, sturdy, and no-frills. The LaRue QD mount make it really easy to switch to irons if necessary. I think I'll stick with the existing folding sights for the time being. I won't be using them too often and they aren't really that much of an eyesore. At the point that I switch to a CQB length barrel, I'll probably switch to a railed gas block and RIS front sight of some sort. Oh yeah... thanks!

Steevos, the Magpul MBUS set that Bigdad is selling are of top notch quality and are 99% spot on of the RS Magpul MBUS. For 33.00 shipped to your door they can't be beat.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been very pleased with all of Bigdad's MagPul replicas.

Classic. They'll be getting a few goodies between now and ... sometime. The M4 will be getting either a Prommy 407mm long 6.03mm diameter barrel or an EDGI 6.03. The M16 has a madbul tightbore, but I'm looking to replace it with something. Any suggestions on any of these guns? I love these guns and don't want to change them much, but anything you would do to these?

As much as I (obviously) love tricked out guns, an externally stock one that shoots just as hard is awesome as well. Some of you MilSim dudes might be surprised to know that most real soldiers don't have ridiculous amounts of stuff attached to their weapons. An 11B transition (6-7 year vet at the time I think) in my AIT said he NEVER put anything 'high speed' on his weapon because it's just another bit of weight on the gun that takes time to get used to, learn the quirks, etc. It's just something else that can get snagged on your gear at 'the moment of truth', break, etc... (Those are roughly his words)
But yeah, I'm a *prostitute* just like the rest of you, tricked out guns look *bad-hiney*.

Same with my dad. He said he only has a red-dot sight on his gun and that's it.

I'm split on the tricked out vs. plain. I like some custom M4s and M16s, but I think a lot of people go overboard.
I think I'm going to get a standard RIS for the M16 and get rail covers and use with my ACOG. I like changing out rails for standard hand guards often, and I like changing optics, but that's about it.
I don't like having a lot of stuff on my gun. I even hate slings because they get in my way.

That is the new Magpul AFG (Angled Fore Grip). It is supposed to be more ergonomic than the standard VFG.

The purpose of AFG is to provide the shooter more ergonomic posture when shooting, and it is also supposed to help the shooter compensate the barrel climb on full auto.

Looks amazing!!
What will the BAD do for it? Just for looks or is there an actual use for it on an aeg?

I dont think the picture Kyle posted is of an AEG. A BAD lever is an ambidextrous bolt release. It was designed to where you can hit the bolt release with your trigger finger so your firing hand is always at the ready.
